Will the upcoming recession be worse than the 2008 crisis? A recession means that a country's GDP is decreasing. 2022 GDP is lower than 2021's. By definition, we're already in a recession. What everyone is talking about is likely a depression, much worse than recession.

Gas prices shot up to 4 dollars per gallon

will 100% be worse, supply chains are destroyed, global food crisis is incoming along with other shortages, great resignation etc

I don’t think a lot of those GDP isn’t inflation adjusted. If that’s the case then there’s not much of a growth.
