I saw a comment on the interwebz, saying: Why should my taxes go to the police, if they aren't going to protect?

I thought... that's a good point. THEN I thought... police "were" protecting, up until everyone started blaming the police ofr just about everything.
So now the question is... do the police generally feel they don't have to protect, or do they feel that way NOW after all the BS they've been put through for the past 2 years or so?

I know I've said it before, that if you keep sending police to jail for doing their jobs, as best as they can... then who IDS to blame when they just stand around while kids are getting shot?

Put them on trafic regulation or fire them. Use real militaries who did their minimum 2 years of -military- training.

That is half the reason they are there.
That protection just doesn't extend to you or me.

I think they protected a LOT more, before the people started attacking them right and left.

What other profession can abandon their duties when they receive criticism? Should athletes be allowed to refuse to play their contracts if fanbases treat them poorly? Should doctors not be treating patients that attack them over covid treatments/vaccines?

When have police EVER protected us? It's your duty to protect yourself and it's the duty of cops to pull people over to raise revenue for the city.

The supreme court ruled in multiple instances that police do not have the obligation to protect you from injury, or being murdered.

Their was a time before BLM came along that public sentiment towards police killing unarmed whites was high.
Right after that cop on the east coast shot and killed a librarian leaving a library after closing, without any notice to the librarian who was just leaving and did not see him, and without any danger to the officer who ran behind her car and fired multiple times.
This cop was not prosecuted, even though it would be a guaranteed conviction by a jury.
Then BLM came out as a "FUCK WHITE PEOPLE!" movement and was the biggest gift to law enforcement in this country.
Whites are killed at a far higher rate per police interaction than blacks, because the police don't worry about any blowback from killing a white person.
