""This is the worst case scenario. Without a manifesto and a known motive, the speculation is just going to get worse and worse as to what drove the shooter to do it," said Sara Aniano, an extremism researcher who focuses on the rhetoric of the far right on social media. "But it also provides a really fertile ground for more conspiracy theories to sort of accumulate and spread in the information ecosystem.""

Interesting reading, I've "lost" family members to the Q cults... so its unfortunate to see the speed in which this is evolving.

There is always hope. You can take the first step by reading the Lisbon protocol.

Odette Yousef was hired as a "Domestic Extremism Correspondent" on NPR, but 100%, literally 100%, of all her work is smearing the right. There's absolutely zero work product from her discussing BLM, Antifa, BIE, Islamists, etc. Even when attackers were black identity extremists, she wrote columns trying to label them right wing, like the subway shooter. She tries to simultaneously argue in support of Nazis in Ukraine while using the presence of Nazis in Ukraine to push her domestic agenda of Nazi fearmongering, which is where it really goes off the rails. She has a series of articles about how Putin is lying about the presence of Nazis in Ukraine and there's no evidence those guys waving Nazi flags and tattooing themselves with Nazi symbols and chanting Nazi slogans are actually Nazis, but also saying its empowering Nazis in the US
She had a whole series on how Kyle Rittenhouse is a white supremacist and murderer and his acquittal will get get black people killed.

Of all the insidious propagandists in the media, her name pops up enough for me to actually notice it.
