Yeah there is a lot of hysterics over him. Probably because him and Bezos made so much money during the pandemic while other people struggled so much. He didn't make money off of the pandemic though (like Bezos). I agree there is a lot of misplaced animus toward him.

He's still anti union and such. Billionaire after all. There's only so far left you can be while being one of the richest people in the world.

I will say though, at least he built something and took real risk. He came from a lot of money but he massively improved his standing instead of just riding off his parents success. Like somebody we all know.

Soros can't even hold a candle to what Musk has done for change. Soros is just a financier for various ideologies he peddles around the world and got rich by exploiting economic collapses in 3rd world nations like Malaysia and Thailand and England earlier in the 90s. Meanwhile Musk's company is close to breaking two million electric vehicle sales. Bezos also can't be compared to him. Bezos wealth can be attributed to basically creating a very successful and monopolistic marketplace, one that destroyed main street and is the poster child of what harmful anti-competitive capitalism looks like. We'll see what comes out of his Blue Origin space company, maybe that'll yield something actually truly groundbreaking.
