During testimony to lawmakers in the house appropriations subcommittee on homeland security, DHS secretary Alejandro Mayorkas announced that they will be setting up a new entity called the "Disinformation Governance Board", which will be aimed at determined and enforcing the government's version of the truth, focused on issues like "irregular migration and Russia.” This comes one week after Elon Musk bought twitter and various democratic lawmakers demanded more federal censorship of the internet. The powers this board would attempt to wield to ""counter misinformation"" are as of yet unknown, as the DHS is being opaque about the new initiative or any accountability for it. But we know that it will be spearheaded by none other than Nina Jankowicz as executive director, seen here in her most public moment of 'countering disinformation':



I think leaving it up to private entities like Twitter to ban the New York Post for publishing stories about the Hunter Biden laptop was clearly not going far enough. A private company could be bought and manipulated by a Russian actor like Elon Musk, who then allows disinformation to proliferate. Clearly, the best possible outcome is that in the 2024 election when The Daily Caller tries to publish an expose on Joe Biden's bribe money from China, the DHS's Disinformation board will coordinate a response along with the ATF and FBI to lay siege to The Daily Caller's headquarters like they did with the Branch Davidians.

Liberals are the strong arm of Russian propaganda and have been for the last 50 years. Straight from the KGB playbook. I cannot take any person who claims to be Democrat and also claims to be against Russia as an adult. Facebook and Twitter claim to fight disinformation, stemming from a political narrative, not the truth. Its like saying its disinformation to say there are 2 genders when its factually correct. My concern is ideology will be pushed as fact by a bureaucracy that has disassociated from the real world.

Not taking somewhere, I'm saying I can't take that person as an adult. In my eyes they are a child, ignorant of the world around them. Bob Dylan is a hippie and not all change is good. Culture warriors? Directing culture? Democrats have nonstop attacked on every existential level anyone who doesn't fully agree and submit to their ever-changing thought processes. Some cultures are better than others. I'll take the stable 2.5 kid family in a low crime society over whatever is trendy to be different in this week. It never ends because its ego driven and each new person needs bigger ego strokes to keep going.

I sure don't want the government deciding what is true or not in a variety of things. I want facts when it comes to spending. I want truth when it comes to who's paying who, and where the money collected goes. I won't tolerate the government telling me the sky is red or that rain falls from the ground. The entire leftist movement is based on social justice, which is entirely based on no personal accountability and purely sins of the father anarchy with a splash of guily-by-association-but-not-for-our-side-which-has-higher-crime. I'm leery of any "government information agency" and you should be too. Haven't seen much about this other than a few headlines so I dunno yet but I'm instantly suspect of new gubment programs. Slush funds all around at everyone's expense usually.
