Black Lives Matter and Antifa protesters have taken to the streets of Grand Rapids to protest after the state-sanctioned murder of innocent black man Patrick Lyoya who was executed by a police officer while unarmed and armed only with a police taser they grappled over for several minutes. The entire encounter occurred after Patrick Lyoya, a congolese immigant with no criminal history beyond violently assaulting a pregnant woman and violating his probation, was racially profiled by a police officer for nothing more than being a black man driving a vehicle without license plates. Before the video of the shooting was released, his family related how Lyoya had been parked on the side of the road trying to repair his vehicle, not a traffic stop, which was confirmed by police video that showed him driving along before being pulled over in a routine traffic stop. Lyoya then exited his vehicle before the police officer exited his, a common courtesy. When asked for his driver's license, Patrick Lyoya began running back to his home many miles away to fetch it, directly away from the officer. The racist officer then felt his primal white male urge to chase down and assault a black man. After tackling him, the two struggled for minutes as Patrick Lyoya attempted to deescalate the situation and avert any violent outcomes by violently resisting the arrest and wrestling with the officer for control of his taser. After managing to get his hand on the officer's taser, he deflected it from hitting him when fired twice, and the two remained locked in a grapple as the officer sought to exert his dominance and force him to submit like the slaves who were never his actual ancestors because he's an immigrant from Congo. After about two minutes of fighting, during which the officer repeatedly screamed his racially charged slogan and white supremacist death dog whistle "Let go of the taser", he pulled out his gun and executed Patrick Lyoya in cold blood with a shot to the back of the head.
