It seems pretty ignorant for you to ask why, but I can give you the coles notes:
The Old testament was partly written and known by scholars since before the 11 century BC.
After 10 generations It was spread as the word of god that Jerusalem was the holy land and in particular the changing of history attempting to be established by the old testament indoctrination; regardless of the particular Pegan Deities at the time were prominent. Everyone back then was pretty stupid so any convincing argument that there is a superior calling or past is not hard to sway people. Therefore the jews had a very powerful tactic for keeping their faithful together with this centralized word and message through the book as they could consistently and cohesively respond to haters questions and objections.
Assyrians removed the jews simply because they wanted control of the Holy land, not because they believed it to be holy but that Jerusalem was the path towards and around the Mediterranean and they wanted to march unto Egypt and by extent take over the world. Jerusalem at that point was no more than a minor fishing city for them to rape all the women in.
problem is that kind of Pissed off Babylonians and at the time were just a state within the Assyrian empire but eventually Neo Babylon decided fuck that and re destroyed everything that Assyria conquered 300 years later... Again this being 600bc the bible wasnt completed and although not well known was slightly influencial so the Babylonians decided to exile the holy people that way they wouldnt be responsible just incase their god was real and they could say "well we didnt kill them, so come on, let us into heaven"... Its nice to cover your bases. Like how when the Son invaded Jerusalem again 30 years later because fuck them... But specifically allowed the Jews to rebuild the temple of judah cuz you know, just incase they are right, dont want to piss off god that much, jews being the chosen ones and all
a Couple Hundred years later is When Alexander the Great decided "Fuck it" and invaded every single city along the coast of the mediterranean starting from Greece... including Jeruselum... Then after going in that direction for a year he got bored and decided the mediterranean is way too big so he turned around and stopped in jerusalum again to rape some more bitches and do soem more conquering before going into Persia. If you want to know how that ended... well.. He is Called Alexander the GREAT.. so.. it was decent for him.
Next we can move onto Tiberius now that dude was a fucking idiot. Although in his defense, its hard to follow up when your father is Augustus; the greatest leader the free world has ever seen and likely ever will see. Augustus did so much for humanity its unbelievable how important that dude is in history... but thats another story... So Tiberius was a snot nosed step son of the GOAT emperor so he did what every rich kid trying to make mommy proud does... INVADE TERRITORY! So cuz the jews are all "its okay we dont need defense god will protect us" the Romans came and fucked their faces simply for the validation of Tiberius as an emperor... Then Tiberius went insane. Now the bible is done. So from this point on a lot of the reasons why the jews were punished in history is literally becasue of blood thirsty god power wanting psychos:
For example Flaccus was this crazy guy that had power in Egypt in like 40CE, he decided that instead of depictions and statues of god in synogoues, they should instead make statues of him. Because I want to be a god. wtf. He then read the bible and that pissed him off even more so he tortured a bunch of jews and forced them to leave Egypt etc. Horrible dude. Stupid too. Oh ya and an unrelated guy did the same thing in another Egyptian city like 20 years later.
Then the Roman conquests of the early CEs took place, again all lineage of Augustus trying to prove their salt. But no one will ever touch Octavius, ever. So The Jewish holy land became like a box to check off to conquer when you are a young leader, so ya Jerusalem got rekt like 5 times in 500 years by the Romans...
So now we are at like 400-500 ce and at this point again we have about 15-20 generations reading the completed Old testament. At this point christianity wasn't a major thing, but it was building in popularity if for any other reason that you could worship the same god as jews, getting one ever closer to being a chosen one ..
Of course this made people mad. Especially in Egypt, where they were still worshipping cats and shapes. So the Jews got expelled from Egypt liek twice in 20 years (again) because fuck those people...
Now from the 6th to 10th century.. People were really starting to dig christianity, and hardcore christianity fanboy reddit mods decided that Judaism is bad so the propaganda began to flow. Several times throughout these centuries masses attempted to persecute jews or remove them because jews kept 'acting like the chosen ones' while everyone else was christian now so.... like.... wtf jews... why cant we be equals bros...... then the murdering and the death.... This happened in France, Italy like 4 times, Turkey, What is now known as Iraq, England like twice... ya jews got un reasonably screwed during the rise of Christianity.
THEN THE CRUSADES HAPPENED. Let me give you a run down of the crusades. You are a Jewish farmer, farming away. Then 500 men on Horseback and Armour with swords walk up to you "Good sir," they say "what is your current god you worship"... you... being a great citizen, say "well I am a jew of course!" The horseback guy gets instant mad and shoves a book into your hand "This is your god now, you are now christian. Failure to comply will result in immediately burning alive while you watch your family be stabbed and raped and burned alive.... Any questions" ..... Now considering the crusades is famous because of all the the burning alive type events and the raping that happened... well... yaaaa... wooooohhh History! yayayy!!
Then pretty much the rest of history is literally Christians getting mad at Jews because "what makes them so special" and over the next 800 years there were hundreds of laws across europe made and revoked and constant expulsion of jews for dating christian women or jews being stoned to death for drinking at the christian fountain. Or like young jewish kids being put to death for talking to young christian girls. Im not joking. This is History....
