They deserve everything you want to do to them.

But you don't have the firepower, institutional backing, cultural momentum, anything. A lot of things have to change, and likely will eventually, but right now they'd rather throw a soccer mom concerned about sex education for their 1 year old in prison and brand her a domestic terrorist than a drug dealer who has ruined the lives of countless inner city kids.

Voting is the only way to realistically fight now. Don't vote for a party, vote for based right wing reactionaries who will actually do something.

The media and politicians like to play with words. When they say disproportionate discipline towards black students is an example of dirty math. Let’s say the split is 70/30 and there are 100 students, 70 white, 30 black. 10 of each have been disciplined for whatever offense they committed. That’s 1 in 3 black students vs 1 in 7 white students. Then the manipulation begins. 30% of black students faced discipline and only 14% of white students faced discipline. Therefore the system is broken and attacks black students twice as much! It’s a racist policy that causes black students to earn lower grades as pure victims of circumstance.

Hold up. Wait. Breathe. It turns out all 20 students were in fact misbehaving and earned the consequence of discipline. Saying black students are disciplined more is a statement that black students refuse to behave in classrooms at 2x the rate of white students. Now let’s find out why. I bet there’s no investigation to those disciplined students asking “why did you do this uncivil or antisocial action or why didn’t you turn in your homework?” whatever the case may be. If you don’t understand where a problem starts you can’t fix it.

The rule of law is gone.
What is right and good is being eroded daily.
