So as most of you have probably been reading about the Ukrainian President repeatedly keeps pleading daily with NATO and the EU for physical help and although they have been given is aid no one has really came to their rescue yet. HOWEVER Russia is working on their 4th peace discussion and the last one resulted in agreed upon corridors for non combative civilians to escape the hell.

What if the EU and NATO’s lack of action eventually results in Ukraine and Russia becoming Allies of convenience in order to preserve Ukraine and Pacify Russia once all this is said and done? It’s not like such things haven’t happened with former USSR territories before.

Do you think the lack of action will backfire for NATO and the EU?

Seems like this could backfire big time.

They are getting help in form of weapons and other humanitarian aid. Probably more than they expected. Ofc the president keeps pleading thats what he needs to do for his country as a president. Very unlikely that the nato will interfere with actual troops and he knows it.

Anyway, what you are suggesting is beyond dumb.
After what happened ukraine will never become a close ally for russia. Why would they become allies with someone that destroyed their country "against the west" that provided them all they aid they could without starting ww3.

Premier Poutine isn't going to do anything except look sultry at the cameras while giving empty threats hoping China takes the bait and causes chaos.

China is also making bank off Russia poor choice of an invasion. Hundreds of Russian businesses are opening Chinese bank accounts lately.

China will be the world dominate power in 20 years. Russia is but their pawn, and Poutine was played like a fiddle.

The only issue is that internally china is not as strong and sound as it makes westerners believe. They have a lot of social issues that actually weaken them greatly.
Their army is not that amazing other than human bodies they could throw at another nation.
