The Russian ministry of defense has released footage of captured Ukraine soldiers and claim these are the defenders of Snake Island, alive and well.

If true it means these Ukraine soldiers were used in an act of brazen propaganda. Claims were made that all of the the lightly armed border guards were wiped out by overwhelming Russian naval force to put the Russians in a bad light.

Ukraine president Zelensky appeared on state television calling the soldiers heroes of Ukraine that should never be forgotten.



The Russian claims were completely ignored as per usual. Now they released this footage



We can clearly see the men are treated well and are handed rations and drinking water.

Confronted with this footage Ukraine had no other option than admitting that these were indeed the soldiers that were stationed on Snake Island. What a farce.

Thanks to WarLeaks channel for updating and rectifying this, these guys at least care for honest news coverage.

Propaganda during a war? Surely not.

If you'd have listened to the Russian propaganda, they decimated Ukraine's ability to defend itself, without a single loss and they were 10 minutes away from surrendering at the end of the first day.

War brings out the bullshit from all sides when morale is important.

I mean, duh. Every single claim made by both Ukrainian and Russian sources is 100% propaganda and 0% true. Even the true stuff, especially the true stuff.
Anyone who actually believes any of the nonsense like 'ghost of kyiv' or 'snake island heroes' or '4500 dead russians' is a moron. And Ukraine isn't being controlled by a bunch of nazis who inflict a one-sided genocide on ethnic russians in donestk, either.

What's been most disturbing to me is just how readily the echo chambers of social media and MSM have embraced ukrainian propaganda and censorship of anything telling the Russian side. I saw a comment on the reddit worldnews thread briefly questioning whether people were getting somewhat detached from reality in the same way as 'bernie can still win' and hillary's overwhelming victory. Before that comment was removed and poster banned. And the banner updated to say RT was banned sitewide, and soon RT got banned from a list of entire nations. Geez, does this mean Governor Jesse Ventura has to register as a foreign agent or does it mean he'll just be locked in an internment camp for the duration for the war?

This. We're supposed to be the side that is only interested in objective and sound journalism. Not sure when but that def has gone out of the window. Pretty sure it's caused by far left woke MSM controlling most of the news coverage.

Self-defense isn't a hard sell. You have Russia with a largely rapine economy invading their neighbors, again.

Russia is like end stage Rome...lost all of its territories, led by a mad emperor for decades, desperate wars against their neighbors with less and less successful results.
