She's mostly right in the sense that THE BOOK "MAUS" is supposed to make children understand that things can turn really bad (ty far right wing voters btw) and this means that focusing only on the jews is very obtuse regarding the book's goals.

For me the book has to show how man can be inhuman to another man first, you cant explain the whole story to kids, nor to an alienated population, so let's simplify it by "what the man can do to other man" is ok.
