In the South we have racist whites making laws to prevent people describing the racist shit they did in the past.

We have a full Francesco Franco moment here. In Spain the conservatives/former fascist passed laws like this, which prevents the describing of the things they did during the Franco regime, so that young people aren't allowed to learn about their history and people in their 20's know that some bad stuff happened but they don't know what it was.

I know when I was in Florida it blew my mind that there were cameras on the traffic lights that would mail them tickets for speeding and running lights. Like what? Florida people are so bovine that they accept this. In Ohio you would have either gangsters or farmers shooting those things off in the middle of the night. Florida man is such a servile creature. From the people who strongly being scared is justification to shoot a person.

For what it's worth, mailing tickets for speeding is exactly what someone concerned about police overreach should want.
