Alright, it's been a year. I was going to wait until the 16th so it was a year flat, but whatever. I don't care.

Biden hasn't substantially changed the border, and reverted back to many of Trump's worse policies once people stopped paying attention.

He flat out refused to play hard-ball with Manchin and Sinema despite their blatant corruption. Took him literally months to release a half-baked whitehouse press release.

Won't fight for the good parts of his agenda, and folds over on basically everything he promised.

So far the only things I see that Biden has actually done right are the first stimulus check, deferring student loans further, and following through with getting out of Afghanistan. That's not enough for a full year in office.

He is a career politician, doing his best not to pass out on the podium. A perfect tool as far as puppets go.
Best everyone forget he exists and vote with your dollar.

I predicted he would croak and Kamala take his place by now. I guess ice cream and crack still keep him going

Bogie literally told me today bidens running an open border policy.

I think everything you said has merit but we have a 50-50 Senate and a slim house margin. There's only so much you can do by executive order. Passing multiple large spending bills that received republican support (infrastructure, that 100B R&D bill in the spring). I don't think the reconciliation bill is dead yet either but if you compare Obama's first couple years with Obamacare, that barely passed in a 59-41 Senate. If we had 53 Senate seats I would be things would be different but that's the reality were under.

My biggest disappointment is the lack of a filibuster carve out for voting rights but we'll see what gets announced on MLK day

Bogie is in a constant fight with Goom for the most blatant liar on the forum so that's not surprising.

So my issue isn't really that he's not getting things done, it's that he's rolling over on important fights. If Manchin isn't going to let anything important through then he doesn't need to win his next election. He's no real advantage. Sucking Manchin's weiner is just guaranteeing there's another Republican in congress.

Even if we had 60+ senate seats very little would have changed because Democrats suck. They couldn't even get the Republican proposal from 10 years ago passed cleanly when they had 60 seats. (Obamacare)

I can't say I ever expected him to be good, I just wanted to give him some time to be fair. He's had time.

I'll take fights with Manchin and control of the Senate over Mitch McConnell majority leader any day. Manchin has a different set of incentives from every other Dem in Congress. There really isn't much Biden can do to push him around. The last reconciliation bill talk fell apart because Biden held strong on the child tax credit rather than give in and get Manchins vote on the rest.

We are living through an era of unprecedented Congressional gridlock and I think calibrating expectations to that reality is important. Trump did fuck all outside his tax cut legislatively for the same reasons.

Do I want more from a Biden presidency? Absolutely. I just can't blame him for the shit show that is Congress right now where you have half the Congress openly pretending they live in an alternate reality.

Why? lol

I shit on Biden all the time. If you think I'm a Democrat you clearly haven't been paying attention.

All insider Democrats, Biden included, are solidly on the center-right.

I agree but I don’t think too many of us are surprised, as well all know more people voted against Trump more so than for Biden.

He’s spent 25% of his first year in office on vacation
