We've been over this. The department that handles those requests is handling many requests concurrently and is massively under-staffed.

The proposal was 500 pages per month because the request is many tens of thousands of pages.

As someone who has worked on a tiny piece of an FDA drug filing, I don't think most people comprehend the sheer size of the documents requested. This was before my time, but in the world pre ubiquitous hard drives, they'd back up two semis into the FDA loading dock to unload all the papers that accompany a drug filing. Now its just a box of hard-drives but its still terabytes of data.

You think 10 people can read through two tractor-trailers worth of documents carefully and redact necessary information in a short amount of time?

Funny thing is if they actually read the article they would understand this. Sunny tried to pull the same shit and I quoted his own article back to him. If you're going to make a thread at least read your own source lol. Makes me feel good knowing I'm on the side of people who read articles.

Bro OP said, “what do you think?” And posted the article. How are you going to disrespect him when you see right in front of you he simply opened up discussion?

329,000 pages. is nonsense. This can be condensed to 3-4 thousand at the most. Don't need every little frivolous details. Clearly FDA and big pharma is trying to knuckle drag this out.
there might be some ai processing that can be done to speed it up

I have a revolutionary idea: how about we don't redact the documents and just release them to the public?

I also want to get rid of IP laws.

Because that's what this amounts to. Youd basically be giving away all pertinent information that Pfizer doesnt want given away to their competitors.

Then send a request to Pfizer and Moderna, giving them and their lawyers one month to name the sections of the documents which concern core IP. This way, the FDA employees know where to look for necessary redactions and don't have to go through all 345348905834589034435 pages themselves.
