He had the right to be left alone. There was no crime there it wasn't a citizen's arrest, rather an attempted kidnapping at gun point.
You see to have a lot of faith in systems, surrendering to kidnappers knowing someone will come save you. There aren't people out there to save black Americans though. Their parents have to give them a talk about how police are dangerous etc.
