Ok, in my country and almost all the other first world countries, we have welfare to take care of people who need help. Even though this is a net drain on a country's finances, I don't have a problem with it, because I believe that we should take care of the vulnerable groups in our society. However, some of these people, while on public assistance, have kids. And the state is now forced to also provide benefits and assistance to these kids as well.

I don't have a problem with giving help to someone who needs help, however, forcing the taxpayers to pay for someone's children that he/she otherwise cannot afford, is simply unfair. I mean you can't choose to be out of work or disabled or whatever and I understand that, however you can choose to not have kids, while on assistance.

Your thoughts?

I think we should let the children starve, or they can pull themselves up on the bootstraps and get a job

Or better yet, make sure these children don't get born at all.

Hmm. Probably Canada and US.

I assume things are similar in Western Europe too.

I agree. We should stop subsidizing the wealthy.
