Yes I served on the Jury for a Murder Trial in 2014.
There were very little jurors thrown out in pre selection. I live in Canada; not Pile of Shit of America

He might get off on that based on self defense, but he isn't going to get off on going across state lines with a firearm he had illegally.

He might not get off on self defense though, since we have a paper trail a mile long showing him associating with far right radicals who went there specifically to get violent, and even his self-proclaimed intention was to defend somebody else's property that he had no business being at and that was already burned the night before so there was nothing left to defend.

So it's gonna be a toss up.
