So facebook is rebranding into meta. Ill share some thots about this.

The word "metaverse" was coined by Neal Stephenson in the book snowcrash. It basically described a virtual world owned by corporations where end users were treated as citizens in a dystopian corporate dictatorship.


What if I told you Did you about a project called LifeLog by Darpa. The Pentagon canceled its so-called LifeLog project, an ambitious effort to build a database tracking a person's entire existence. They terminated the project in February 2004.

What if meta is a giant scam to push people to buy NFT's and digital "assets" so they can continue buying up physical?

What is the business model of facebook? How do they make their money?


Fun fact :
Did you know that Amazon Alexa's products have no voice recognition software. It just sends the sounds to the cloud on AWS to run voice recognition. It use a 900 MHz RFM69HCW transmitter and receiver module that creates a mesh network between echo's devices and Amazon's sidewalk feature. They use the same frequency as bluetooth so it can technically connect to phones, apple tags, vehicules etc. Amazon Sidewalk also have a location feature, it knows the location of every echo devices. There is no need to have internet connected, these use a private radio network. These devices have a communication radius of about 0.5 miles distance. If I go to my buddy that have a ring camera and an echo product I then participate in a spy network by having my voice captured and having facial recognition done.

Facebook was created by Zuckerberg to rank and rate women in secret on college campuses, that should speak volumes to his true character. Many men do this, but to build out a application signals he has some serious morality issues. Not a great person to throw into public social policy discussions and decision making IMO.
