It's news to no one that the last few years democrats have really ramped up various type of rhetoric pushing for more gun control. Seems like every time there's a mass shooting you have democrat politicians coming out to soapbox. In some places gun control has tightened in other places it remains the same. The effects?

Data from the FBI's National Instant Criminal Background Checks System suggests a sharp uptick in gun sales in the last year and a half. In 2020, the FBI conducted background checks for nearly 40 million gun purchases. That's compared to about 28 million background checks in 2019, and 26 million in 2018. In 2010, the FBI conducted 14.4 million checks. Through the first six months of 2021, it has initiated more than 22 million background checks.

Now it's impossible to know why exactly but a really good reason is because people associate democratic leadership with more regulation therefore they try to get ahead of it and purchase firearms. I mean they are literally getting on TV and saying they will do all they can to stop sales and/or ban certain firearms. I'm not a gun owner but i was seriously considering buying at least a shotgun or a rifle because I thought if these people succeed this may be my only chance in life to buy certain guns -- I assume many had the same thought process. Honorable mention to the BLM riots, I'm sure those had some effect on people wanting to buy guns as well.
So I just want to congratulate these dumb fucks. Gun companies should be sending Christmas cards to democrat lawmakers who are so eager to open their mouths. They are literally one of the primary reasons millions more guns were sold.
