China planning to “liberate” Taiwan and officially stating that if Japan deploys a single soldier, a single boat, or a single plane then they will consider it full scale war and even stated they would drop a nuclear bomb on them
How far will China go if they succeed in hostile takeover of Taiwan? The next superpower of the world will be determined by tech 5G and AI. China wants Taiwan so badly because of their tech assets in manufacturing chipsets. Will they come after Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, etc after?
Is America scared to get involved? They seemed reticent to get involved with Russia when their special agents were being hunted down. Maybe this is a great enough threat that America has to step in. China has well prepared with their island bases and satellites set up.
America really only has two options here:
Stand up for their allies and risk nuclear war on everyone's behalf - hoping that China will fold.
Or quietly pretend like its not happening and hope that the West can develop some kind of technology (preferably one that makes nuclear weaponry irrelevant) that could liberate our lost allies in the future.
Either way, we are at a turning point and this is even worse than the Cuban missile crisis imo. And yes, China will continue to absorb far beyond Taiwan - Australia will fall to their sphere of influence if America abandons them. South Korea will merge with North Korea and Japan might even turn join forces with China for self preservation as well.
We can't take the consequences of exposing ourselves as little bitches lightly.
