Thanks for fronting the fg for bold/red.

Since conservatives have decried cancel culture, and we have a lot of conservatives who are regularly accused of being inconsistent with their beliefs, I think it would be good to give them a chance to decry examples of cancel culture from their side so they always have an easy reference for their consistency. This thread is intended to give clear examples of conservative cancel culture so our PaRD conservatives can criticize them, and have a compiled list of times they were consistent in their ideology.

As a first example I present Stanford Law School chapter of The Federalist Society.

A student at Stanford University Law School created and passed around this pamphlet mocking The Federalist Society. For those of you who are unaware, the federalist society is a conservative group that advocates for originalist interpretation of laws, and has massive connections to current and past supreme court justices. Including Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett. The Stanford branch of The Federalist Society has such members as Josh Hawley, the target of the flyer.

In response to the above flyer the federalist society chapter filed a complaint with the university months later in a clear attempt to disrupt this student's graduation exams.

This is a clear attempt at cancel culture from the right, particularly by a notable branch of The Federalist Society.

You seem overjoyed but as we all know cancel culture is mostly exercised by far left snowflakes that can't handle other views than their own.

Cancel culture is a cancer for society and the well-being of democracy, no matter where it's coming from. I do not support or condone the silencing of free speech by the political right. This pamphlet is nasty, but the student has every right to publish it and the federalist society was wrong to try to get it cancelled/censored.

For many years, conservatives used to be the main culprits of censorship and cancel culture. However, at some point between 2008 and 2018, things turned around, and nowadays, it's liberals/leftists who are responsible for the bulk of censorship and attacks on free speech. One counterexample, and a weak one at that, does not disprove this trend.
