I'm not sure if this is getting more common or if this is just a norm in a country this big.

The shooting appears to be justified, although it also appears to be an intentional "suicide by cop".

Well, it's a grey zone imo. The cop is facing a man who have nothing to lose since he want to die by suicide. In some case, the cops can fight and restrain the individual risking getting stabbed while some cases could probably end up bring a small scuffle then arrest. Or the cop can simply shoot the guy and save tax $.

This is a bad shoot, from a cop who could have backed off a few feet. The suspect did not step towards him. A mere lean with the chest was enough for death? No. The officer should still have been on administrative leave given the investigation over the prior shooting was not concluded.

Not on your side here, in any way.

i think the shot came early on this one however, the officer had enough space to wait at least a moment for the suspect to comply (or not)

not backing away is definitely right though

Idk about anyone here, but if an officer is approaching me, I’m not gonna have a knife in my hand.

That said, I think the shot might have been early.

I thought this too at first, but apparently it only takes 0.3 seconds to lunge with a knife. Cops are trained to respond exactly in this way.

The guy with the knife is moving back or stop, the cop doesnt wait while pushing forward, the warning is nearly inexistant, it's barely an execution. Or catastrophic training? I doubt, there's more than that.

Only a fucking deep idiot would defend that cop, it's a murder hidding behind the "he had a knife" excuse. And he calling him "dude" ? Is that normal ?
