Published in 2016, the author of the book "the politics of bitcoin software as right wing extremism" presents a few points to why blockchain technology is more embraced by the right than it is the left.

A few points he makes is the distrust of the government being a right wing phenomenon
The distrust of Central banks being a right wing phenomenon
And the underlying libertarian "cyber punk" culture was neo-nazism in disguise, calling Ron Paul a neo nazi.

Does d2jsp think crypto is only for the right?

A few humorous points the Jewish author makes is that crypto is a literal holocaust because they aren't allowed to trade on the sabbath like the gentiles & jews aren't fit to do anything but finance so they're gonna get laid off by bitcoin. Better learn to code.?

i would say that its definitely more right wing leaning guys and liberals (actual liberals, not leftist fake liberals) trending towards crypto

and the trend will continue with the development of more and more controlling leftist governments in western countries

they hate the decentralised market places, because they want you to stay poor, go to the corporate plantation and pay half your shit in taxes to them

i have moved most of my stuff away from regular banks already since we have a serious risk getting a communist government in germany in autumn

they wont get shit from me and after the trouble i and people around me already had dealing with banks, i am done

not to mention the massive trouble for example right wing activists have even opening an account, with the slow death of cash thats a recipe for ultimate control

Liberalism is a centrist ideology, so you can't be a leftist and a liberal lol.

i am aware of that

i am referring to the people calling themselves liberals, which is very popular these days, but in reality they are hardcore left wing activists

Hmm I think it’s more divided by age than anything, talking to boomers about crypto gets them on edge because they don’t understand it. Though adoption rates are still extremely low. For example XRP is owned by only .026% of the global population and its among the top 5 cryptos

my grandma and some cousins were talking crypto over Easter lunch and my grandmother finally asked "[malice], is [hyperbitcoinization] gonna be a good thing?

I told her in the short term it would be catastrophic and take the wind out of the 401k's sails because no one's gonna buy stock for maybe 30% in a year when crypto is averaging 200% a year.
But long term our family won't have to worry about being economically censored out of the country we founded because we won't inject dead babies for the flu

A few years back I remember reading a Reddit meme topic about bitcoin hyperinflation crisis (as a supposed time traveler) stating that bitcoin had reached over a million dollars per by 2030. It’s not that far fetched if the wealthy and governments are aligned in switching over to digital currency

fortunately no one smart is going to go along with the digital yuan. digital nation-issued fiat-tagged currencies are used for tracking and full submission to govt control - the opposite of crypto’s ethos

Can't really blame them for that in America at least. In America conservatives spent so long over the past 30 or so years painting everybody on the left as a liberal that most people don't know the difference. Glad that's changing though.

financial institutions like Wells Fargo, Barclays, JP Morgan Chase, Ally Bank, USAA, Goldman Sachs, and some National banks like Canada, Germany, and many Asian National banks are already in the full swing of adopting cryptocurrencies. many of the aforementioned banks are already developing their own stable coins, which is pretty much what you're saying nobody smart will go along with. it's pretty doubtful that people will suddenly abandon banking as the transition over to digital becomes greater/eventually the dominant asset... and yes it will include tracking that allows public and private sectors to know everything about you
