To People in line.

As if you are a literal criminal for giving someone water while they wait in line to vote.

If they are waiting in line for candy, or in line for the pedophile convention then its cool give them water ur not a criminal and dont deserve a criminal record.

A literal jail time permanent criminal record if that person is in line to vote though

wow thats fucked up. Like truly and awfully fucked up. There are people that vote republican? Thats really fucked up,

how can you justify this?

You don't know what you're talking about.

The Georgia law is intended to prevent political committees from giving gifts that may sway votes.

Do you want the NRA handing out Gatorade and Pizza to people waiting in line to vote, garnering potential support from voters away from gun control measures, for instance?

Anyone can bring their own food and drinks. The law does not prohibit a person from eating or drinking. Polling places can also be set up with water coolers from the start for "self service".

The intent of the law is exactly the same as every other law that is designed to prevent the "buying of votes". The Biden characterization of the law is nonsensical.

I think a point of greater concern would be why there are such long lines in the first place. When campaign spending for senate races in Georgia alone were in the 9 figures bracket, how and why are there so few polling places, so badly managed, that people end up in lines 2+ hours in the first place?

Since people are so quick to talk about taxes, how about we "tax" 10% of all campaign funds raised from all sources, pour those funds into increasing the number of staffed polling places, and eliminate the lines altogether?

Republicans are the army of satan. They are against the Bill of Rights for individuals.

They attack whistle blowers for using a free speech. They attack unions for free association. They are against the free movement of people and want as many Americans in prison as possible through wars on drugs etc.

You have McConnell who has taken the most bribes of any senator from corporate lobbyist as head Republican.

They are against worker protections, Consumer protections, They want less Americans to have health insurance, They want more Americans to be out of homes. This has been their platform for the 42 hears I have been alive. Voting for them is just antisocial or ignorant with what we know about them.

They do not want you to vote.

People who don't want people to vote are in charge of voting. Baboons aren't dumb enough to let that happen.

Baboons run more equitable societies and are more civilized than Southern Rephblicans. You see a southern republican you better hide your teenage daughter.

Lol, southerns do poorly with running society, red or blue doesn't matter. The strongest southern states are propped up by MIC, so transitive welfare.

how many voters living in a district with waiting lines (predominantly low income, minority, urban), that actually are dedicated enough to wait in a line for hours to vote, do you think have been "bribed" to change their vote for a glass of water, in the history of american elections? could you make a rough estimate? a single one? dozens? hundreds? even more?

do you genuinely not see how that is NOT legislation addressing a real and concerning issue, but a blatant attempt to just further inconvenience and dissuade voters, like closing polling stations to create those lines in the first place, like limiting voting times and ballot boxes? it's such an obvious and egregious voter disenfranchisement operation that you'd have to be positively mentally challenged not to realise what's going on there.

it will never cease to amaze me how some people will happily insult their own intelligence like that trying to 'justify' republican voter suppression, lol...
