A variant-induced 4th wave of covid will hit the United States in the coming weeks, the onset is already visible in the numbers. Since it's spreading from NY/NJ/MI// the North, it will take some more weeks until it arrives in southern states like Texas or Florida. These weeks are crucial since they make the difference between a 25% vaccinated population and one with a 60+% vaccination rate. Liberals, the Biden admin and the CDC will call for a new round of lockdowns, but these red states will tell them to fuck off - and get away with it because of the aforementioned lucky timing.

So after Republicans got very unlucky with covid in 2020 (politically speaking), the partisan fortunes will be reversed this time around.
