So obviously I made this thread to see what you all think about my poll question, but I want this thread to be a place where we can specifically discuss social issues within American society.

I personally feel like social issues are the number one thing driving people to the voting booth, and other complex political issues are lower on the list of reasons to vote for X.

What are some of the social issues that you believe are worth bringing to the table and why?

I think people treat party politics like football teams and fail to accurately judge the issues within their own party.

I completely agree with this statement. everyone seems so polarized now where they have to pick a side for better or worse, I feel like I stand roughly in the center (with sadly to few people around me) and just stare in either direction in disblief.

There are poisonous aspects of our culture that are allowed to survive. Some political parties have gone so far as to reward the bad and punish the good. We wont recover unless we reorient ourselves with the truth and let the deadwood burn away.

Welfare, divorce, and abortion are the most important and all three should be abolished.
