Facebook allows organization and dissemination of information far easier than Twitter. Facebook had an internal report recently that 63% of the people they recommended a conspiracy group to resulted in that person joining the group. Their algorithm has been far better than Twitter for putting people into radical echo chambers.

The capital protests were organized on facebook/instagram, so this seems pretty accurate.

Basically, it starts on places like Parler or 4chan or whatever, and then disseminates to Twitter where people hear about it, then disseminates to Facebook where people make groups and share information and have a platform to plan things from. They're all important to get under control, but the place where people are put into echo chambers and have access to the most networking and information sharing is Facebook groups.

That's kind of the pipeline we're working with to getting radicalized. YouTube is also on the tail end with Facebook, where for a very long time their algorithm was shuttling anybody and everybody to conspiracy nonsense. YouTubers like Markiplier even made videos where they went into incognito on chrome and made a new account and then tried to see how many videos it took for them to get to conspiracy theories. It was never very many lol
