that a two party fptp system in a capitalist environment is incredibly vulnerable and flawed. it's relatively easily corruptable by special interest, and lends itself to both parties experimenting with how little they can do for their voters, while still being considered marginally less terrible than the other one.

Expecting politicians (who are currently rewarded for lies and manipulation) to act honestly is a foolish thing to expect.

Our IQ has been decreasing every year due to immigration, so political news cycles this pathetic are inevitable now. Its impossible to maintain a Democracy in a people with an IQ lower than the low 90's.

And the welfare state has been dysgenically encouraging the least intelligent to reproduce when the opposite is what maintains a civilization in the first place.

Things still arent bad as far as world history is concerned. Average life expectancy is ~70's so things are still manageable.
