Please reach out to your congresspeople to speak out against student loan forgiveness.

The country cannot afford to take on additional debt for another handout to those that already have. Where is the progressive legislation to help fund the underprivileged? How is forgiving $10,000 of a doctor or lawyer’s debt remotely progressive compared with funding $10,000 of an underprivileged youth’s college? It isn’t.

Agree, but it bought a lot of votes, didn’t it?

there is an internal battle, half of them say "hey guys lets start with the most poor and most in need because they never get anything", then the other half call them corporate boot lickers and claim it's all or nothing. that u cant bow to the elites.

and the latter always wins, big big big unrealistic asks are the constant. and in all or nothing corporate elites laugh and take nothing as an option.

the same will happen, rather than giving relief to the most poor they'll demand it for all and nothing will pass. good.

I'll take any amount for any group and more the better.

Forgiveness is a bandaid though. We should really be capping tuition.

if you want the bubble to pop inflate it, dont let out a bit of air. put in a tuition floor, not ceiling.
