that's what most establishment republicans will publicly state once the dust settles - after enabling trump's anti-democratic tendencies for years, even after he was voted out of office and started an outright treasonous campaign of lies, fabrications, and projections to either steal a lost election, or at the very least poison what was left of "democracy" in the US for years to come. such was their fear of his base, such is their opportunism and lack of principles.

don't anyone tell me once trump is gone this is over, and republicans as a whole are not at fault. everyone saw what he did, and everyone acted like it wasn't a big deal, just a sore loser departing president pursuing normal legal avenues to ensure the election was legitimate.

when 30% of americans believe the election was rigged, when seditionist mobs storm the capitol, you know that there won't be any elections in the near future that the american people, as a whole, will accept - unless republicans win ofc.

also, trump might (although i'm not sure given he now knows he has to leave anyway) issue some official statement condemning the transgressions, calling 'everyone, no matter which party they belong to' (to avoid addressing the fact that they are unhinged right wingers) to order, but everyone knows he loves this shit. it flatters his ego that people go full ret... on his behalf.

This is just the beginning of these people lashing out. They've been taken advantage of for decades by people who don't have the interests of improving their material conditions even remotely on their radar, and pointed like dogs in the wrong direction. Meanwhile the neo libs, conservatives, and fascists in office are trying to act like business as usual 15 days from now.

The police shouldn't of shot that lady. The other 3 who died shouldn't have either.

Their anguish is legitimate, even if their reasoning is not. Shit sucks, for a lot of people, for a long time now.
This needs to be addressed asap by the next administration or things are only going to get worse and worse.

there were 4 deaths. 1 shot by police. 1 person tazed himself to death on accident. and 2 other medical emergencies that were not able to be addressed.
