If the next Republican administration continues this trend expect to start seeing brain drain as the smart people start getting nervous. Republicans have been targeting scientists, journalists, etc. for a few decades now. Trump accelerated that trend into very dangerous territory. If we have another Trump rise out of the Republican party with more political competence.... things might actually get ugly.
Ya know it's funny. Republicans spent 8 years calling Obama a dictator and he didn't do 1% of what Trump is doing. Guess it's instance 48902340056 of Republicans doing the things they are accusing Democrats of doing.
Another question worth pondering...

Here’s the harsh reality for Americans who’ve long believed we lived in the greatest democracy on earth: if Raffensberger wasn’t Sec of State in GA and/or if GOP controlled both chambers of Congress, there’s more than a high chance that Biden wouldn’t be president come Jan 20th.
What would've happened if GOP controlled both chambers and the election hinged on one state? They would've stolen the election. American democracy could've been over, and perhaps will be if this situation presents itself in the future.
