Just wondering why this isn’t being addressed in this forum yet? Figured it would be near the top for you guys considering a good portion of you are American?

Anybody have anything to say about this crazy attack on your country?

BECAUSE CHINA AND ERIC SWALWELL!! HUNTER BIDEN!!!

My analysis of it though is that it's extremely serious but some of the headlines are pretty outlandish. Our nuclear arsenal isn't in jeopardy or anything like that. We're still learning about how deep this goes.

The media seems to be downplaying it as well.

This is honestly the biggest news story of the past twenty years. The implications are limitless.

We don't even know who did it yet. Russia and China are the two suspects. If China did it, they would blame Russia to distract.

I'm pretty sure the Chinese have been influencing our politics and media in the background for at least a few decades.

I posted this about it in the Trump thread. This was very successful espionage by the Russians, something we would've done to them. The current president doesn't care about anything the Russians do, but the president-elect does, so I'm sure his administration will work to deal with it.

Countries spying on each other is nothing new. We do it to China, Russia, Iran, and even many of our Euro allies. The only real reason why this is a bigger deal than usual is they managed to really get us good since Solar Winds was connected to so many things.

You're a disgusting Slav and I hope the FBI is monitoring your family like they monitor Arabs.

I had a thought. It's sort of interesting that the Trump supporters on foreign policy typically describe themselves as nationalist... but they are the first ones to morally equivocate if an adversary like Russia does something that harms the United States. It harkens back to Trump's "you think we're so innocent" line in that interview with O'Reilly. Which is really a sort of cosmopolitan, leftist position. People who don't care very much about America's national interest are typically the ones who try to equivocate us with our adversaries.

1. What do you base this opinion on? I think based on what happened experts believe it was most likely Russia. The intelligence community assigns differing levels of confidence to their reports, so it's possible the White House doesn't want to go public until there's more confidence. But given everything we know about Trump's relationship with Russia, it's reasonable to assume he's not relying on the opinion of the experts. Pompeo was blaming the Russians for it.
2. Pretending that the government has to release all the proof they have(which you couldn't even understand if they did) to believe in their assessments is nutty stuff, mane.
