All versions of satanism are the same.

Lucifer was banished from heaven for rejecting God's will and instead following his own ego.

One of my best friends in high school is an avowed Satanist. Last time I brought him up, I got suspended for linking an article about him on Penthouse. So instead, here he is:

Its adherents run the gamut from edgy atheist nihilists to batshit crazy, child molesting, neo nazi terrorists.
There are a few Satanists who are decent organisers in support of progressive causes.
If you're merely talking about LaVeyan satanism - edgy atheists who never grew up.

because
that's where we're at

It's just atheism with extra steps, i was a member when i was young and edgy.
If you don't grow out of it by your early 20's you have an infantile mind.
