Quote
A 90-year-old Canadian woman living in an eldercare facility who was not ill or sick with COVID-19, took her own life last month rather than risk living isolated by another pandemic lockdown.

The resident, Nancy Russell, chose a medically-assisted death, which is legal in Canada, with friends and family gathered around her bed, according to CTV News.

She was 90 and you will struggle to find anyone on the left who doesn't support euthanasia.

They shouldnt support policies which drive people into euthanasia though. She was 90, yes, but according to the article, she was still healthy (by the standards of a 90 y/o) and had family who visits her regularly.

Anyway, we shouldnt blow one single case out of proportion. Nonetheless, isolation, loneliness and the accompanying mental decline among nursing home residents is an issue that decision makers must keep in mind when they're weighing the pros and cons of lockdown measures.

don't get me wrong - i'm really not a fan of old people. they are generally very judgemental in the narrowest scope of perception
but some actually did some good things

People are surprised that a pandemic is depressing?

It's like having to be socially isolated and having a lot of people you know die isn't pleasant.

So you think this beat the amount of conservative assholes who died of covid after publicly crying that lockdown was stealing their freedom ?.

Special mention to the morons who love cull and extermination of the weakest ones.
