So with two weeks to go until the
start of the weeks-long process that will be the prolonged vote counting fiasco of 2020, we've got a few stories in the news about how ballots are already being manipulated
and a few stories that should be in the news, but conspicuously
aren'tto start it off, we have an arsonist destroying ballots in a drop-off box by throwing a burning newspaper in it:
https://abc7.com/fire-intentionally-set-inside-baldwin-park-ballot-box-officials/7155522/one of the election security vulnerabilities I predicted would happen somewhere in America, and maybe be replicated elsewhere
then we've got 100,000 valid ballots mailed to wrong addresses in brooklyn and 29000 mailed to wrong addresses in PA;
https://www.cnn.com/2020/09/29/politics/brooklyn-absentee-ballot-printing-error/index.htmlhttps://www.post-gazette.com/news/politics-local/2020/10/14/Election-ballots-mail-in-absentee-incorrect-allegheny-county-pittsburgh-voters/stories/202010140139and in the last 2 nights, 4chan autists have been busy digging through SoS websites for various states and found numerous vulnerabilities;
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2020/10/breaking-4chan-users-claim-found-way-easily-change-peoples-votes-online-oregon-washington/https://www.theepochtimes.com/lax-online-security-appears-to-allow-cancelling-other-voters-mail-in-ballots-in-some-states_3543408.htmlbasically, they found the state websites let you invalidate votes by anyone, and maybe even change cast ballots for absentee voters, with nothing more than a name and date of birth.
this is still ongoing and its hard to tell exactly how large it is in scope, but we've got pictures of scripts set up by uzbeki hackers apparently invalidating the votes cast by thousands of oregonians, and vulnerabilities may exist in a dozen or more states
and what should be the largest election hacking story in the news right now is oddly getting zero airplay. How much is real? How much can be verified? Did they just nuke the entire election? I don't know
several states apparently shut down their online websites within hours, perhaps too late if they don't have rollback servers- and that means that legitimate users can't access their online services now
But however bad it turns out, I know the fact the media isn't even
interested in the story is downright scary- zero stories about it, even as websites remain down
