So a few days ago german police cleared a house that was occupied by far left anarchists who had been there for
3 decades. The action drew a lot of attention.
Average squatters are known to be radical but that's nothing compared to the people that occupied this particular building who describe themselves as "anarcha-queer-feminists".
In total 1500 police were on duty to deal with this, they had to force their way into the heavily barricaded building with chainsaws and crow bars before they could finally drag these far left radicals out of the building.

What do our fellow PARDians make of this.
Nothing new really, shit like this has been going on in Berlin for decades. The only surprising thing about this story is that the police was actually allowed to go through with the eviction.
Berlin has always had a very large and strong leftist activist scene. This dates back to the Cold War, when the city was divided and West Berlin was a haven for the squatter and anarchist scenes because of its isolation and no one giving a fuck.
Nowadays, Berlin also has a ton of upscale limousine liberals on top. And lots of government employees, political consultants, media people, artists, and so on. Imagine a blend between Portland, San Francisco and Washington DC, all wrapped into one city. Berlin is the German equivalent to this city.
