This sort of thing happened a few years ago with casualties on both sides and it didn't end up causing a war. I first realised the relationship between Armenia and Azerbaijan was this bad when the Europa League final was played in Baku last year and Arsenal fans with Mkhitaryan on the back of their shirts were harassed by the police.

Christians are unironically the most persecuted religious group in the world. We just dont realize how bad Christians have it in muslim/buddhist/hindu/atheist countries because it's the majority religion in the West.

Kind of a dumb assumption to think all of India’s Muslim population is persecuted. You realize many of them live in purely Muslim regions which are fairly religiously homogenous right?
