I just watched Cuties with my girlfriend. We were expecting 2 hours of disgusting Dance Moms level pedophile content that we could rant about and then go bash Netflix on Twitter, but instead we got a thoughtful coming of age story. Nothing wrong with this movie. If you saw "pedophile content" in it then you are probably just a pedophile and need to never look at children in any context. Or you're just a bandwagoner who didn't watch it.

Its pretty disgusting. Its about explicit about sexualizing 11 year old girls as you can get.

Usually I err on the side of "I'm uncomfortable but art like this has a place" but Cuties is way over the line.

Her mom being exploited by her culture and father was the only qualifiably disgusting thing I saw in this movie, really.

I watched the preview video and read descriptions of some of the sexualization that happens. Not going to watch the film. Cancelled Netflix... though to be fair I didn't use it much.

Seems to me that sexualizing children in this way is perhaps a rung on the cultural ladder that the left will get to one day. After all, why should liberation only start at 18? Religious conservatism will look more and more appealing to normal people in the future.

Nothing is really wrong finally, girls always have been more and more "sexualized" within last generations.
Adults are shocked, boys of the same age are not.
