To be fair, I feel like this is a good indication of how people's attention shifts.

Authorities have meanwhile learned that, if they ignore a problem and refuse to take action for a while, people accept the situation and stop making a fuss. We've seen it with decades of police violence, the immoral wars in the Middle East, the Panama papers, the case of Epstein, unfair treatment of black people in the justice system, the terrible way of dealing with Russia, the complete inaction against inhumane practices in China, etc etc etc.

That's the card that your government is playing: the "wait it out" card. Once people get bored of rioting or get distracted by a different problem, the government can stop caring about people's reactions to police violence.

Ultimately dude should not of went into teh car like he did imo but idk whats all going on, officer could of demanded his license for all I know.

I only just opened the article you had posted and saw a picture in which I had counted 4 =P
Point being, this shouldn't happen to people who are needed to raise their own kids. Few things justify shooting a man.

I mean watch the video, it looks like him walking away from officers and proceeding to reach into the vehicle.
Taser would of been more appropriate but again we don't know what all transpired.
I haven't delved into it all that much but I know I heard of it so I did a quick google for OP cause the storm ain't over just yet.
