just found out he got banned from youtube for hate speach

i've seen a handful of videos and never really agreed with him but i don't think i ever saw any kind of hate speech, wonder if ben shapiro is next

Given his popularity, it might be easy to think that he could simply upload his content to his own site and cut Youtube out of the process. However, that won't work. A person influence is a function of the size of the audience they can reach. Someone who gets cut off the big platforms won't be fed to people as part of the algorithm that decides what they see.

For the last 70 years, nuclear weapons have been regarded as the most powerful weapon in the world. Whoever held the launch keys controlled how the balance of power in the world shifted. But it's been awhile since people have lived in palpable fear of a nuke being launched at them. Nowadays, search algorithms are where the power lies. Whoever holds the key to what information
people can access gets to control where the power in the world goes.

Google is Skynet, but not in the way we all thought. The AI revolution won't happen with tanks and guns. The AI revolution happen as the algorithm starts filtering out what content is seen by the humans who ostensibly have the keys to that algorithm. When they start getting their views changed by the limited scope of what they are fed, then the AI will be in control.

I've watched some of his content, didn't agree with a lot of it, but def was well spoken and researched. Maybe youtube automation is conflating supremacist with intellectual argument? Probably some neural network AI trained to flag videos based on a set of phrases, words? Probably not advanced enough to follow a long winded argument.

i live only seen what was spammed here. There's a huge disconnect between those few videos and what I'm reading on his wiki, though. He's being described as a pretty conventional white supremacist.

No. The liberals just don't like him because he spreads ideas that aren't in line with their agenda.

It's really not the surprising though. Over the last ~5 years there have been leaks showing the toxic culture at Google. Like some kind of financially incentivized internal culture police board stamping out dissent. A bit ironic given the stances these same companies took on Net Neutrality values.

The greymarch is upon us.
