After experiencing simulations of situations police deal with regularly, in one of which he shot an unarmed man, civil rights activist jarrett maupin reversed his opinion and instead promoted compliance with police.

This was in 2015. If only floyd and others had listened to him, they would still be alive. I wonder what role, if any, Jarrett has taken in the current protests.

Cue the leftists claiming it's staged etc.

ive seen those as well. plenty of racists have come to realize the error of their ways.

the point here, though, is that people are very quick to judge the police, but when they have a chance to see things from the other side, they quickly change their tune.

sure, here's a story like that
https://www.minnpost.com/community-sketchbook/2020/06/terrell-bryant-went-to-38th-and-chicago-to-kill-a-cop-and-die-he-found-a-community-instead/
https://www.gofundme.com/f/a-new-chance-for-terrell

This puff piece was written by someone who has completely lost all perspective and no longer has their feet on the ground. It makes an inspirational and uplifting story out of a man who 3 weeks ago was willing to commit an act of domestic terrorism and murder a random stranger, but just because he didn't find anyone to kill that night and had a supposed change of heart, he's now on the right side of history and making BBQ (and still a drug dealer). You can even donate to the gofundme to help fund his rehabilitation as a proper composter and good feminist. Basically, its like someone saw a face-eating leopard about to eat someone's face, then decided to adopt it and write about how cute and fluffy this face-eating leopard is. Also, if you read a headline in the news about some white social activists in Minneapolis being murdered by a black guy they took in, you'll know the story before you read it.

feel free to make a thread about Senator Robert Byrd (D). oh wait, he didn't really change his heart and the (D)s still made him their 'conscience of the senate'

You took a nice story about an individual understanding the other side to "George Floyd would have lived." C'mon, that's absurd.

do you not think its true? you dont think that floyd would still be alive if he hadnt tried to fight back? he might be in jail, but he'd likely still be alive. for sure brooks would still be alive.

after reviewing the ME report I don't think its a 'likely' that George Floyd would be alive today even if the cops had never shown up at all and he didn't struggle with him.
between his extreme end-stage heart disease and overdose levels of fentanyl mixed with other drugs, its probably more likely than not he'd have died that night
most overdose deaths don't have as dire a readout as that autopsy
