Google is now using its ad platform to censor right-wing news outlets, deplatforming ZeroHedge and censoring content on The Federalist, citing such nebulous and selectively enforced criterion as "comments on the sites".
They're now saying that in order to have access to their monopoly on advertising revenue streams, websites must adhere to both Google's political viewpoints and censor their own communities as Google demands.
They of course don't apply any scrutiny to the efficacy of such censorship to their own platforms like Youtube, because lmao read the comments on any video.

So this will be the new normal for Google, wielding its monopoly to enforce its political views to censor the news itself

The Federalist is not demonetized according to the Twitter link. Zerohedge should probably not post racist articles.

According to Google, The Federalist is in the process of being demonetized and has been told by Google they will be kicked off the platform unless they obey their censorship obligations. As per the twitter link.
Google says that its not enough to just police the viewpoints and politics of articles being expressed, but the sites must proactively censor their own users. A bit of a touch taken from the Chicom masters they serve

I read that the Federalist disabled comments temporarily so that they can work with Google on the issue. Just don't allow users to say "nigger" or "black people are thugs" and stuff like that and everything will be peachy. Plus, there's always ads through Bing (which is Bing, AOL, and Yahoo).

DuckDuckGo... the ONLY way to fly.

/e Btw, Bing is almost as bad as Google. They are MS and MS leans left... big time.

Honestly, I wonder what the solution, if any, to the big media problem is in this country.

Bing was taken over recently. Duckduckgo is getting worse too

Edit: can you tell its election season?
