Unfortunately not. It's a natural part of the increasing corporate influence that started around the 1960's.

America was given the right to own arms to prevent government tyranny like forming an oligarchy where the people have no power and everything is ruled by corporate lobbyists.
Since you have all those guns it stands to reason that it is impossible that corporations now have more power than the people.
