I really like the character, Jesus Christ, but I find it troubling that some christians do not follow in his footsteps. I agree with the notion of treating others like you would wanted to be treated. My questions to the christians of JSP are: why is it so difficult for people that attend church every Sunday, know the story of Jesus, to follow in his footsteps? Why aren’t there more christ-like christians out there? Would you consider them hypocrites?

Jesus is the Lord and Savior, not just a character.
Many churches have been corrupted by satan and are teaching false doctrines, which would explain why it would be difficult to attend church.
This life was never promised to be easy, it is difficult to follow in Jesus footstep because the flesh is weak and easy to sin.
Is it really hypocritical when we are constantly tempted by satan and gullibly believe the lies he tells us?

This satan that you refer to is something tangible or psychological? Being tempted by something that originated in your mind and making a decision that contradicts the faith is still hypocrisy. Why would you consider temptation to be an excuse for making a grown man decision? Wouldn’t that imply that humans should not take responsibility for their actions? If we all blame the devil, then we wouldn’t be responsible for anything we do. I don’t think Jesus would have wanted that nor condoned to be irresponsible.
