I think a better question would be "What is 'God'?"

I was under the impression that God is everything. Everything that exists was created by God and therefore his spirit lives in it, thus everything is holy and is a miracle?

Im not actually religious...these questions just pop into my head sometimes....

Can we be dynamic and accept all answers then? Your answer does not sustain me.

If anyone knows the answer from the perspective of their religion, or religions they are knowledgable of, please post.

Well why does everything have to be God? Why can't everything be everything? And why does there have to be God to create everything? Could you just say everything is nature, and nature is what gave rise to it?

Okay, Here we go.

Catholics(what I was raised as): God is everything and anything, he holds our lives in his hand, sometimes he lets bad happen to use, but it is a gift of choice. That sums up most of Christianity.

Odinism(What I am now): The Gods serve as a purpose of creating everything, giving us the world, and giving us something to look forward to in the after life. Giving us good spirit, good strength, good pride.... ETC.

These questions are really hard to answer though.

The difference is defining it as god gives it consciousness and motive.
