The council of Laodicea in 364 ce removed the book of Enoch from the Bible; it was never included in the standard canons for most mainstream Jewish and Christian traditions.
The only major Christian groups that accept it as canonical scripture are the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church and the Eritrean Orthodox Church..

Why was it not accepted?

In Star Wars, there is also canon and non-canon. "Hier to the Empire" by Timothy Zahn or "SW:TOR: Revan".

The book of Enoch pre-dates the New Testament and coming of Christ. Judaism doesn't accept sequels to their cannon very well, they literally killed Christ for trying to realize their prophecy of a messiah. and early Christains saw the book as unimportant, and because it contradicts the world of Christ and early church teachings. It's a schism in the religion that fundamentally severs the otherwise consistency of the bible. Ive only done a bit of reading on how Ethiopian Orthodox reckons with these inconsistencies, but its an interesting concept for sure. and not unseen in other sects, who selectively enforce the word and laws God laid down. Some are just disagreements with catholic doctrine through papal commands, but others are legitimate biblical revision.

That's not spam. That's a fair analogy.

many topics in pard are valid because they're an exchange of opinions on modern topics. differences of opinion.

why the book of enoch wasn't included in the bible 2,000 years ago isn't really the same, and the topic has been covered by both Ethiopian and Catholic religious scholars for thousands of years. its a particularly bad topic for pard tbh. you can't google "was Lindsay Graham a good senator" and get a valid answer.

Sure, tag a mod or something and get the thread closed if you think they'd agree it's not a good PARD topic.
