Agreed. NATO are allies we need to approach them as such. If one isn’t paying their share maybe see what other NATO members can do for Spain’s economy to help them reach that 5% goal instead of threatening to cripple that economy further.

It’s fucking crazy that Carney and Trump went at eachother but Carney was the first NATO country rep to back the US-Israel decision on Iran. Honestly I respect the hell out of Carney for that.

If Trump could install a damn filter and think before he acts/talks he might actually do a lot of Good as a leader but instead he talks a lot of shit, makes threats and throws tantrums.

That's why when he does things against the constitution we should have a problem with it one way or another
We can't pick and choose when to follow it just because it fits our agenda

This is the biggest dilemma with him, also for the allies. The way he does it, they always have to choose between breaking international law and supporting an important ally.

Well the German Chancellor is a LIAR then as NO EU NATO MEMBER is currently "paying their 5% on defense."

Germany for example is paying 2.8%.
France is for example paying 2%.
Even Poland the...beacon of democracy...is only paying 4.5%.

That’s because of how the US government operates. 51% vote just doesn’t get things passed anymore. It’s also why the economy, government and quality of living has stalled. The US and its rules of order in the government take forever to get anything LEGALLY done.
