Why are you against some form of proof of valid voter status? Is it because you think POC are too stupid to get an ID?

Could you explain a non us-citizen how voting looks like over there? What do you have to show when you go to a polling station during an election?

Where iam living they have a list of all allowed voters in the disctrict and you have to show a passport or a driving license.

Being so fervently against voter ID laws is one of those weird hills to die on, considering just how much support for it exists

Some type of valid proof of identity seems very basic.

It's fairly basic in Canada, some form of acceptable ID that has basic information and addresse. You can apply for mail in voting which I see little issue with. To get a valid mail in ballot you need to again prove basic info and address.

Can't say I know each States practices to know how much looser some of them are from the above.
