Insurrection Act must be invoked, now.
Seems like the time to invoke the insurrection act would be
after insurrectionists play their hand instead of anticipatory.
Radicals in Minnesota are primed to commit acts ranging from the disorderly, disruptive, obstructive and petty criminal up to rioting, domestic terrorism, bombings or shootings targeting federal agents.
The past few days already had one hotel throwing its license away to be spiteful towards ICE and the organized anti-ICE groups committing some petty crimes to harass agents.
Paulite libertarians have always obsessed over concepts like 'the right to swing your fist ending where the next man's nose begins'. As a civil libertarian I've always maintained that society only works when we
don't try to test the limits, when we agree to stay civil and far away from crossing the line into aggression or criminality. Society can only function if we aren't at each other's throats. Don't carry rifles to protests just because you can, don't riot and torch cars just because you can
get away with it. If everyone's fists are flying inches from noses, a fistfight is inevitable. Liberals in Minneapolis chose to be aggressors and seek to disrupt, harass and threaten federal agents at every possible turn. Feds are there to enforce the law and do their job, the lawful powers we vote upon as a democracy. Its not a both-sides affair, one is clearly in the wrong.
But the top Minnesota officials are all out there accusing ICE of being responsible because they 'created' this powder keg by... doing their job. Meanwhile the Minnesota politicians, who refuse to do their job and pass laws trying to ban cooperation with federal agencies, are the high minded saints who are just pouring gas on the fire and egging on more violence as passive-aggressively as possible.
