Is there anyone else who would consider themself a Republican, but not a MAGAt?

I feel like U.S politics have devolved into either far left or far right. I can't have a discussion with anyone on the right without them instantly labeling me as a lib. I can't call out anyone on the left without being called a MAGAt.

We have 3 more years of this shit until it's probably Vance and I can't identify with any of the crap anymore.

I'm tired of these lazy labels used because people aren't intelligent enough to do anything else

These are the same people who would say someone "isn't Christian enough"

I 100% agree with you! It's why I stopped following politics! Too much division! The only reason I posted here was because I was telling hp720 about the PaRD section and I posted a link for him! Then I clicked the link and saw this thread!

America desperately needs more valid parties. That way you can identify with more political views and you do not have to compromise your beliefs (that much) by who you're voting for. It's why most other democratic countries have several parties.

How about the exact inverse, if someone is a diehard liberal democrat but is riding the Trumpmobile and abhors modern leftism.

Take for example someone who cares about civil liberties, free speech, legitimate democracy, nationalizing healthcare, supporting blue collar workers, separating church and state, having equal opportunity in education sports and employment, breaking up monopolies and deescalating wars and uplifting the underprivileged from being second class citizens confined to ghettos, someone supporting populism over the ivory tower elites.

Right now the alignment would be closest to MAGA, far from neocons and utterly opposed to the dysfunctional leftists running the Democratic party.
To give an example, today in Minnesota at the very same time: Democrats running the legislature held a session to pass more inane and unconstitutional gun restrictions that wouldn't affect crime, while Democrats running the prosecutor's office held a press conference announcing they would not longer enforce gun laws already on the books.

Perfect example of why we need to get rid of the identity politics, but the general populus is too stupid & too uninformed, so they need everything kept simple for them.

People who know what they want are completely overpowered by the layman

What if politics were gamified? Remove the identities and give candidates a stat screen lmao. "Here's exactly what they stand for".

Neither. I think for myself, not what some party thinks. Just because I think 1-2 things that a party thinks doesn't mean I belong to it.

Average politician with our constitution:
